I’m so excited that you found your way to our little corner of the internet. Let us introduce ourselves. We are Hannah and Martin and our food growing journey began a little over ten years ago when we moved into a rented property that had a greenhouse and mini veg patch at the bottom of the garden. It seemed a shame to let it go to waste so we decided growing veg would be a fun hobby we could do together as a family with our (then) 2 year old. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We knew absolutely nothing about growing food. I had no idea that cucumbers had tendrils to hold themselves onto a climbing support and I had never scrubbed a potato before cooking it. We moved into a bigger home with my parents in 2018 and more possibilities opened up to us. We got our first meat rabbits in 2021 and quail a few years later. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What you read on the internet about growing veg and raising small livestock is not always helpful and rarely suitable for our weather, small spaces and culture here in the UK so we really wanted share the things we have learnt, connect with other like-minded people, document our journey and hopefully inspire you to grow some food in whatever space you have available. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
